TAHOE EXTREME - SOCCER CAMP
"Take Your
Soccer Skill to a Higher Level"
The Goal:
The goal at Squaw Valley Summer Soccer Camp is to get you the best training and the most fun you can imagine.
The Training:
The training is meant to bring your soccer skills to a higher level in two ways.
The first "higher level" is altitude... 6500 feet to be exact. Altitude training will drastically improve your fitness--a big part of your game.
Second, our soccer drills and training techniques will dramatically improve your game performance. A low 4 to 1 camper-to-staff ratio means you get all the attention you need. We'll go over every aspect of your game and show you the latest techniques for:
- Proper warm up
- Small-sided games
- Dribbling/juggling
- Movement "off the ball"
- Shooting + scoring
- Set plays + defense
- World Cup tournaments
- Heading, passing and ball control
- First touch
- Goal keeping
- Freekicks
- Team tactics

The Place:
Beautiful Lake Tahoe, California
At 6200 feet, we have perfect summer weather. Bright blue skies, NO humidity, and temperatures that never get above 85 degrees. At our mountain lake, you're on top of the world!
In addition, our recreation summer camp offers an international cultural experience, with kids coming from all over the world (for example: Johann Cruyff's grand kids attended camp in 2004). Its kind of a "united Nations of Fun." Campers take their soccer to the next level, make lasting friendships and develop an adventurous winning attitude.
We've got a new FieldTurfTM field right alongside our big beautiful dorm in the mountains of Lake Tahoe, Squaw Valley California (home of the 1960 Winter Olympics.
The After-Training Activities:
Still got energy after 5 hours of training? Good! Because the rest of each day is filled with the best activities you'll find at ANY recreational summer camp.
If you have friends who don't play soccer, they can sign up for the Extreme Summer Camp, so you can still share half your day "extremin'" with them!
Our campers DO what other kids just dream of doing, and what parents wish they could have done when they were kids.
Just the Facts:
History: This is our 12th successful
year.
Camper-To-Staff Ratio: 4 to 1. Campers are continuously supervised with the camp staff joining in all activities.
Safety: We take our fun seriously, and our record proves it. Maximum safety precautions and the best in safety gear are always used, and our entire staff is CPR and first aid trained. Our safety record is better than even "traditional" summer camps.
Ages: Camp is for both boys and girls ages 8-18. Emphasis is not on competition, it's on individual experience. All ages have a blast!
Sibling Discount: 5% off each additional sibling. Just ask.
Dormitory: Our facility is located at the prestigious squaw Valley Academy in the heart of the Sierra mountains, and home to the 1960 Winter Olympics. Each dorm room holds 4-6 campers and has its own bathroom.
Food: Home-style cooking. Special diets are no problem. Just let us know in advance.
Extreme Summer Camp: For those of you with friends that are not soccer players, tell them to sign up for the Tahoe Extreme Sports Camp. the two camps share many activities so friends will have lots of time together. Or, kids can alternate between Extreme and Soccer Camps.
Solo Campers: Many campers come solo... it's easy to make new friends... that's the whole idea!
Weather: Average daytime temperature is 82ºF (25ºC), and it hardly ever rains in the summers.
Airport: Campers fly in and out of the Reno Airport and receive transportation to camp. A camp representative in a staff shirt will meet the camper at the gate. Arrival time must be between 1PM and 5PM on check-in Sunday and departure time must be between 11aAM and 3PM on check=out Saturday. Arrival/departure outside these time frames will be subject to a charge.
